Know what you took home.
TipBud logs a shift in about ten seconds and shows your true hourly rate — wages + tips − tip-outs. Built for servers, bartenders, and anyone who works for tips.
Last night, closed out
That's $53.62 an hour, not a guess. TipBud does this math every night.
Your homeKnows you
A home screen that knows your week
It greets you by name, shows last night's take-home with cash, card, and tip-out broken out, your trailing week, and your month pace — "On pace for about $5,050 this month."
It even knows what your best weekday actually pays, from your own history.

Logging~10 sec
Logged before you're out the door
Cash, card, sales, hours — and TipBud pre-fills your usual Saturday from your own history, so most nights you just fix the numbers and hit Save.
Tip-outs are computed from your rules. Busser 2%, bar 1.5%? Set it once per job and every shift does the math for you.

Your rate$53.62/hr
Your true hourly rate
Wages + tips − tip-outs, divided by the hours you actually worked. Per shift, per week, per month — the number your paycheck never tells you.
It's how you compare a slow Tuesday double against a slammed Friday close, and know which one was actually worth it.

Your monthNight by night
The whole month on one screen
Every shift on a calendar with the night's take-home under the date. Tap any day for the full breakdown; switch to weeks when that's how your brain works.

Fridays≈ 2× Tuesdays
See which nights actually pay
Day-of-week averages, an eight-week trend, cash vs card, personal bests. TipBud reads your history and says things like "Your Fridays are worth about double your Tuesdays." Pick up shifts accordingly.
Optional heads-up notifications, computed on your phone from your own numbers — off by default, always.

A history that survives anything
Lost phones, dead batteries, switched apps — the #1 way tip trackers break hearts is losing the record. TipBud is built so yours survives.
Your own iCloud
Private sync through your personal iCloud — no account to create, and technically invisible to us. New phone, same history.
Backup files
One tap writes a backup file you can keep anywhere — Files, iCloud Drive, email to yourself — and restore on any device.
CSV in, CSV out
Export every shift as a spreadsheet, any time. Switching from another tracker? Import your old history in minutes.
Your income is your business.
TipBud is built so we cannot see your data — there is nothing to breach, sell, or subpoena from us. On the App Store that reads simply: Data Not Collected.
Tax season, already sorted
The U.S. federal tip deduction (2025–2028) rewards one habit: a daily tip log. TipBud keeps exactly the record the IRS expects, and exports it as a clean CSV whenever your preparer asks.
TipBud isn't tax advice — it's the paperwork, handled. Read the full guide to the U.S. tip deduction.
All of it, included
The priceOnce
$19.99, once.
Your first 30 shifts are free with every feature on. After that, one purchase — no subscription, no ads, ever. And your history stays viewable and exportable even if you never buy.
Most tip trackers charge every year. This is once.
Fair questions
Is my data really private?
Yes — structurally, not just by promise. TipBud has no servers, no accounts, and no analytics. Your shifts live on your phone and, if you turn sync on, in your own private iCloud, which is tied to your Apple Account and technically inaccessible to us.
What happens after my 30 free shifts?
Logging new shifts asks for the one-time unlock. Everything you already logged stays fully viewable and exportable, paid or not — your history is never held hostage.
I already have years of tips in another app.
Bring them. Export a CSV from your old tracker and use Import CSV in TipBud — columns are matched automatically, and imported shifts never count against your free 30.
New phone — do I pay again?
No. The unlock is tied to your Apple Account: tap Restore Purchases on the new phone and you're in. Your history follows via iCloud or a backup file.
